Why Do The Working at Heights Instructor Training Course?

The working at heights instructor training course is designed for people who want to up-skill and carry out their own working at height training. This training course is needed by anyone who is working at height as part of their duties, In particular anyone who regularly needs to wear a harness for fall arrest or restraint. Anyone attending this course will be showed how to prevent falls in the workplace and ensure the safety of individuals working in areas such as roof works, MEWPS, scaffolding, and ladders.

This course is essential under the Health & Safety authority (part 4 of the General Application Regulations) stating that all employees must be trained in the work they do, which in this case is working at heights. This course is designed to fulfil this requirement.

This course abides by Irish legislation, covering the fundamentals of safety around the use of fall arrest equipment and working at heights.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will be trained in how to be an instructor in working at heights. They will understand the legal requirements to carry out the work, training and presenting skills, understand the various equipment associated with working at heights and the dangers associated with the work. 

Certification

Participants will be granted a 5 year Trojan Safety Training Working at Height instructor Certificate stating that they have attended and completed the course.
