What is a Safety Statement?

A Safety Statement is a document outlining how Health & Safety is to be managed within an organisation and is a legal requirement under the Health, Safety & Welfare at Work Act 2005.

A safety statement must be brought to the attention of employees annually, especially any parts of the safety statement which apply to them. The safety statement outlines the roles & responsibilities of those with specific Health & Safety duties within the workplace.

Outcome

To comply with legislative requirements, the safety statement must be site specific and contain risk assessments. In order for us to produce your safety statement, it involves a site visit by one of our professionals to carry out a full assessment of the workplace. A book format document will be presented once this is complete. The time it takes for the safety statement to be completed is generally 2-3 weeks depending on business size and complexity.
